It’s a great day, brothers and sestras, as Orphan Black Season 4 premieres tonight! One of the best series on TV, and certainly the best female performance(s) on the small screen for the past few years is back, and we could not be happier about that. Tatiana Maslany is absolute perfection in her multi-character performances each week. She is so fabulous that we tend to forget that one person is playing each of the different clone sisters while we watch! The rest of the cast is fantastic too, and with outstanding writing in the first three seasons, I’m sure we’re in for some suspenseful entertainment once again this round. Last season ended with the group testing Mrs. S’s mother’s DNA after they discovered she was a chimera and the original donor for both the girl and boy clones. They are hoping she is the key to curing the clones. When Ferdinand found out the Neolutionists were after her, he helped the clones kill his bodyguard upon realizing he was with the Neolutionists. Loved that scene with James Frain! Delphine was shot by someone she recognized, but we did not see them. Sarah was able to meet up with Kira and her baby daddy to end the season. Let’s see what the OB team have in store for us this season, starting with the episode “The Collapse of Nature” on the Season 4 premiere of Orphan Black tonight.
In tonight’s season premiere, “The Collapse of Nature,” after two months of respite, Sarah’s hard-won refuge in Iceland is shattered by a Neolution attack. Once again forced to flee, she realizes no matter how far her family runs it will never be far enough.
Returning stars on OB are Tatiana Maslany as clones Sarah, Helena, Cosima, Alison, Rachel (and new clone M.K.), as well as Jordan Gavaris as Felix Dawkins, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Mrs. S, Kristian Bruun as Donnie Hendrix, Kevin Hanchard as Det. Art Bell, Skylar Wexler as Kira, Josh Vokey as Scott, James Frain as Ferdinand, and Ari Millen as Ira. Additional cast includes Rosemary Dunsmore as Susan Duncan, Alison Steadman as Kendall Malone, Lauren Hammersley as Adele, Jessalyn Wanlim as Evie Cho, Joel Thomas Hynes as Dizzy, Gord Rand as Det. Duko, Ian Matthew as Frank, and Miranda Edwards as Roxie.
