Big baddie Negan will arrive on The Walking Dead Season 6 finale tonight. I do not know if I am prepared for this, people! I have a sneaking suspicion that several regulars won’t make it past either this episode or next season’s premiere, but we will surely be losing a main cast member to Negan and his trusty murder-bat, Lucille, tonight. I can’t wait to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan step into the scene the first time as Negan, but I’ll probably be having to remind myself he also played the Winchester’s dad on Supernatural to console myself after the season finale airs. The question is, will they go the same route they did in the graphic novels or are they going to throw us for a loop and have it be someone else that gets greeted by Lucille? I think all the new couplings this year, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), do not bode well for those characters. I mean, you know they can’t let these poor folks be happy for too long! Let’s see how it all goes down in the episode “Last Day on Earth” on The Walking Dead Season 6 finale on AMC tonight.
In the season finale, “Last Day on Earth,” Rick and the group must go outside the walls to save one of their own. What they experience on the road will change their lives forever.
Last week’s episode, “East,” ended with Morgan still searching for a wounded Carol (Melissa McBride) after she made quick work of her would-be attackers on the road. But, a baddie is on their trail. And, the writers made sure to leave us with a gasp to end last week’s episode, when Daryl (Norman Reedus), a usually thorough tracker, walked right into a trap in an effort to save Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Michonne. It was that pesky Dwight again. The episode ended with a gunshot that we presume went into Daryl’s shoulder since we heard Dwight say, “You’ll be alright.” Daryl would be a devastating loss to the series to me. I’m really hoping he makes it past tonight’s episode!
Guest cast in “Last Day on Earth” include Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, Austin Amelio as Dwight, Tom Payne as Jesus, and Steven Ogg. The episode was written by Robert Kirkman and directed by Greg Nicotero.
